Akademisk Boldklub is looking for an overseas coach/player for the 2010 season.

About Akademisk Boldklub 

Akademisk Boldklub was founded in 1889 making it the second oldest cricket club in Denmark. The club is situated in Bagsværd just outside Copenhagen. 

What we are looking for in a coach:  
Experience with coaching young cricketers at U13-U17 level at both beginner and experienced level
Experience running introduction courses in cricket at schools
Capable of speaking easily understandable English. English skills are generally good in Denmark. 
Valid driver’s license 
Documentation of coaching skills. Either completed cricket coaching courses or letter of recommendation from club. 
Must love cricket 
Enthusiastic, independent, goal oriented  

What we are looking for in a player: 

Akademisk Boldklub offers a chance to play in the Elite division the premier league in Denmark. Denmark rank top 5 in Europe and around top 20 worldwide. The quality of cricket in Denmark in the top divisions is good. Akademisk Boldklub came fourth in the Elite Division in 2007, but struggled in 2008.

In 2009 the club was back on track and finished fourth. In 2010 we are looking to fight our way into the top three.

What we are looking for is foremost a good coach, but if we could choose a player these are the qualities we would look for: 

Preferably a toporder batsman with solid batting technique capable of batting for time
Role model for the other players when it comes to discipline and work ethics   Duties and responsibilities: 

Akademisk Boldklub's focus for the coming years is to strengthen the youth department. Over the next two years the club aims to more than double the size of the youth department and attract more than 50 new young players. In order to do so the club has begun to build a team of young coaches. We are looking for an overseas coach that will help the club in the following areas. 

Structured talent development 
Bridging the gap between youth and senior cricket  
Supervising and teaching a team of young coaches  
One on one coaching of young talented players 
Visits to the local schools and clubs to recruit new members

Akademisk Boldklub pays a monthly salary to cover cost of living and other expenses. Exactly how large a salary the club will be able to offer depends on the cost of the above mentioned expenses. Expect around 6000 dkr (£650) a month.
